People never give up their
liberty but under some
delusion.
People crushed
by law have no
hope but from
power. If laws
are their enemies, they will be
enemies to laws;
and those who have much to hope and
nothing to lose will always be
dangerous
The true danger is when
liberty is nibbled away, for
expedients.
As the revolution in
America progressed these
words were written in a letter to the Sheriffs
of Bristol by Edmund Burke who was the represenative of Bristol in
Parliament.
"Has any of these gentlemen, who are so eager to
govern all mankind, shown himself possessed of the first
qualification towards government, some
knowledge of the object, and of the
difficulties which occur in the task they have undertaken? Let them but once
get us into a war, and then their
power is safe."
"They are continually
boasting of unanimity, or calling for it. But before this unanimity can be
matter either of wish or congratulation, we
ought to be pretty sure that we are engaged in a
rational pursuit."
In commenting on
a recent act of Parliament in
which England had suspended the protection of habeas corpus which allowed
individuals accused of
treason in
America to be transported to England and
jailed without a
chance to confront the charges against them:
"To try a man under that
act is, in effect, to
condemn him unheard. A
individual is brought hither in the
dungeon of a ship's hold; thence he is vomited into a dungeon on land; loaded
with irons, unfurnished with money,
unsupported by friends, three thousand miles from all means of calling upon or
confronting evidence, where no one local
circumstance that tends to
detect perjury, can possibly be judged of;
such a individual may be executed
according to form, but he can
never be tried according to justice."
"Not one unattacked village which was originally adverse throughout
that vast continent, has yet submitted from love or terror.
You have the ground you encamp on; and you
have no more. The cantonments of your troops and your dominions are exactly of
the same extent. You spread devastation, but you do not enlarge the sphere of
authority."
"General rebellions and
revolts of an
whole people never were encouraged, now or at any
time. They are always provoked."
"If
any ask me what a free
government is, I
answer that, for any practical
purpose, it is what the
people think so; and that they, and not I, are the
natural, lawful, and competent
judges of this matter."

We may
easily see how far the application of
beauty to virtue may be made. The general application of
this quality to virtue, has a strong tendency
to confound our
ideas of
things; and it has given rise to an
infinite deal of
whimsical theory; as the affixing the
name of beauty to proportion, congruity, and perfection, as well as to qualities of
things yet more remote from
our natural ideas of it, and from one
another, has tended to confound
our ideas
of beauty, and left
us no standard or rule to judge
by, that was not even more uncertain and fallacious
than our own fancies.
Beauty is a
thing much too affecting not to
depend upon some positive qualities. And since
it is no creature of our
reason, since it strikes
us
without any reference to use,
and even where no use at all can be discerned, since the order and method of
nature is generally very different from
our measures
and proportions, we must conclude that
beauty is, for the greater part, some quality
in bodies acting
mechanically upon the
human mind
by the intervention of the
senses.
In the
infinite
variety of
natural combinations,
we must expect to find the qualities of
things the most remote
imaginable from each
other
united in the same
object. If the qualities of the sublime
and beautiful are sometimes found
united, does this prove that
they are the same; does it prove that they are any
way allied; does it prove even that
they are not opposite and
contradictory?

This web site is not a commercial web site and
is presented for educational purposes only.
This website defines a new religious ideology to which its author adheres. The author feels that the falsification of reality outside personal experience has created a populace unable to discern propaganda from reality and that this has been done purposefully by an international corporate cartel through their agents who wish to foist a corrupt version of reality on the human race. Religious intolerance occurs when any group refuses to tolerate religious practices, religious beliefs or persons due to their religious ideology. This web site marks the founding of the religion aptly named The Truth of the Way of Life - a rational religion based on reason which requires no leap of faith, accepts no tithes, has no supreme leader, no church buildings and in which each and every individual is encouraged to develop a personal relation with God through the pursuit of the knowledge of reality in the hope of curing the spiritual corruption that has enveloped the human spirit. The tenets of The Truth of the Way of Life are spelled out in detail on this web site by the author. Violent acts against individuals due to their religious beliefs in America is considered a “hate crime.”
This web site in no way condones violence. To the contrary the intent here is to reduce the violence that is already occurring due to the international corporate cartels desire to control the human race. The international corporate cartel already controls the world central banking system, mass media worldwide, the industrial military entertainment complex of America and is responsible for the collapse of morals, the elevation of self-centered behavior and the destruction of global ecosystems. Civilization is based on cooperation. Cooperation does not occur at the point of a gun.
American social mores and values have declined precipitously over the last century as the corrupt international cartel has garnered more and more power. This power rests in the ability to deceive the populace in general through mass media by pressing emotional buttons which have been preprogrammed into the population through prior mass media psychological operations. The results have been the destruction of the family and the destruction of social structures that do not adhere to the corrupt international elites vision of a perfect world. Through distraction and coercion the direction of thought of the bulk of the population has been directed toward solutions proposed by the corrupt international elite that further consolidates their power and which further their purposes.
