the theory of evolution (or stupid shaved
monkeys and tiny rat like creatures)
We need to solve our
problems with intelligence and perseverance.
I am opposed to all varieties of belief that
require belief of something outside of nature.
I am committed to individual freedom.
I am committed to free inquiry. I
oppose any tyranny over the mind of man, any efforts by ecclesiastical,
political, ideological, or social institutions to shackle free thought.
Free inquiry entails recognition of civil liberties as integral to its
pursuit, that is, a free press, freedom of communication, the right to organize
opposition parties and to join voluntary associations, and freedom to publish
the fruits of scientific, philosophical, artistic, literary, moral and
religious knowledge.
Free inquiry requires that we tolerate diversity
of opinion.
Free inquiry requires that we respect the right of
individuals to express their beliefs.
Individuals and voluntary
associations should be free to accept or not to accept any belief.
Basic human rights include the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit
of happiness.
Individuals and groups should be able to compete in the
marketplace, organize free trade unions, and carry on their occupations and
careers without undue interference by centralized political control.
The field of ethics has had a distinguished list of thinkers
contributing to its development - Socrates, Democritus, Aristotle, Epictetus,
Spinoza, Hume, Voltaire, Kant, Mill, Herbert Spencer, Bertrand Russell.
Ethical judgments can be formulated independently of religion.
Human beings can cultivate practical reason and wisdom and, by its
application, achieve lives of virtue and excellence.
Philosophers have
emphasized the need to cultivate an appreciation for the requirements of social
justice and for an individual's obligations and responsibilities toward others.
Holding an ethical viewpoint it is possible for human beings to lead
meaningful and wholesome lives for themselves and in service to their fellow
human beings.
There have been any number of distinguished individuals
who have demonstrated moral principles in their personal lives and works:
Protagoras, Lucretius, Epicurus, Spinoza, Hume, Thomas Paine, Diderot, Mark
Twain, George Eliot, John Stuart Mill, Ernest Renan, Charles Darwin, Thomas
Edison, Clarence Darrow, Robert Ingersoll, Gilbert Murray, Albert Schweitzer,
Max Born, Margaret Sanger, and Bertrand Russell, among others.
Moral
development should be cultivated and encouraged wherever possible to increase
the growth of moral awareness.
The universe is a dynamic scene of
natural forces that are most effectively understood by scientific inquiry.
An ethical life can be lived without the illusions of immortality or
reincarnation.
Human beings can develop the self confidence necessary
to ameliorate the human condition and to lead meaningful, productive lives.
Reason and science can make a major contribution to human knowledge and
can be of benefit to humankind.
There is no better substitute for the
cultivation of human intelligence.
Although the scientific method is
imperfect it is still the most reliable way of understanding the world.
Look to the natural, biological, social, physical and behavioral
sciences for knowledge of the universe and man's place within it.
Human
beings are responsible for their own destinies.
It is possible to bring
about a more humane world, one based upon the methods of reason and the
principles of tolerance, compromise, and compassion. |

This web site is not a commercial web site and
is presented for educational purposes only.
This website defines a new religious
ideology to which its author adheres. The author feels that the falsification
of reality outside personal experience has created a populace unable to discern
propaganda from reality and that this has been done purposefully by an
international corporate cartel through their agents who wish to foist a corrupt
version of reality on the human race. Religious intolerance occurs when any
group refuses to tolerate religious practices, religious beliefs or persons due
to their religious ideology. This web site marks the founding of the religion
aptly named The Truth of the Way of Life - a rational religion based on reason
which requires no leap of faith, accepts no tithes, has no supreme leader, no
church buildings and in which each and every individual is encouraged to
develop a personal relation with God through the pursuit of the knowledge of
reality in the hope of curing the spiritual corruption that has enveloped the
human spirit. The tenets of The Truth of the Way of Life are spelled out in
detail on this web site by the author. Violent acts against individuals due to
their religious beliefs in America is considered a hate
crime.
This web site in no way condones violence. To the contrary
the intent here is to reduce the violence that is already occurring due to the
international corporate cartels desire to control the human race. The
international corporate cartel already controls the world central banking
system, mass media worldwide, the industrial military complex of America and is
responsible for the collapse of morals, the elevation of self-centered behavior
and the destruction of global ecosystems. Civilization is based on cooperation.
Cooperation does not occur at the point of a gun.
American social mores
and values have declined precipitously over the last century as the corrupt
international cartel has garnered more and more power. This power rests in the
ability to deceive the populace in general through mass media by pressing
emotional buttons which have been preprogrammed into the population through
prior mass media psychological operations. The results have been the
destruction of the family and the destruction of social structures that do not
adhere to the corrupt international elites vision of a perfect world. Through
distraction and coercion the direction of thought of the bulk of the population
has been directed toward solutions proposed by the corrupt international elite
that further consolidates their power and which further their purposes.
