"Everything is dependent on everything else,
everything is connected, nothing is separate."
- Georges Ivanovitch Gurdjieff
"We are all part of the ONE - one world of
diversity but incredible interconnected. It is just plain irrevocable truth
that an injury to one injures all; that a threat to justice anywhere is a
threat to justice everywhere. This is now understood by psychology, quantum
physics, evolutionary biology, planetary theology, etc., and simply confirms
the "golden rule" of doing unto others as you would have them do to you, a
principle adhered to by every world religion in their own respective languages
with a similar grasp of this basic truth." - S Brian Wilson
"Can anything really be
understood in isolation
from the rest of the universe?
We explore reality by dis-organizing it:
isolating pieces, eliminating variables, shielding outside influences. Thus the
entomologist brings dead "specimens" back to the lab; the geologist brings back
rock samples; the physiologist dissects cadavers and the chemist seeks purified
substances purged of the chaotic contamination of
the world.
Such methods are, however,
incapable of apprehending anything that exists only in relationship, anything
that, when you disassemble the whole and isolate the parts, is no longer there.
What are those things that exist only in relationship, that are
properties of wholes and not of parts?
Here are a few examples:
consciousness, spirit, sacredness, life,
beauty, selfhood, divinity, love,
truth, emotion, purpose,
transcendence, will; in short, all
that makes us human." - Charles
Eisenstein
"That the connected series of things might
intellectually remain in the Light of the
Father; that the elements of the
World might continue their course in mutual
attraction." - The Chaldæan Oracles of
Zoroaster, translated by W. Wynn
Westcott Connect

To join or fasten together.
To hit or

"If you really want to
evaluate a teacher you have to walk into a
classroom, sit down and listen.
I'm convinced that when you're
listening to good teaching, you hear a familiar
refrain.
It goes like this: What is the connection between ...
and ... ?
So much of good teaching is about
taking strands of information and looking for connections and broadening
the context.
Endless test preparation has the opposite effect.
Endless test preparation shrinks the context.
Endless test
preparation reduces inquiry.
Endless test preparation mitigates against
Socratic dialogue and can drain much of
the passion from teaching and learning.
The irony is that young
students begin by making
connections.
The challenge for teachers is to build on that foundation, to
encourage students to seek
connections between, say, fractions and percentages, or between
lobbying and legislation, or between
Copernicus and
Darwin, or between the main characters in
two different novels.
I like to ask my
students why the food in India, Africa
and Mexico is so much spicier than the food in Ireland, Iceland and Finland.
Typically, lots of theories are advanced and
eventually (and perhaps with some guidance) students use their knowledge of geography, chemistry, botany and
economics to make the connection that
will lead to an explanation.
We teachers call this "thinking across the curriculum." Once
students start seeing how and why
seemingly disparate topics are related, and more important, once they start
looking for and making those connections, then the
teacher will have performed that special
kind of classroom alchemy - turning passive receivers of
knowledge into active participants in the learning
process.
The answer to the spice question: First, spices grow in
equatorial regions; and second in hotter climates, food rots more quickly, so
spices are needed to preserve the food and, later, to mask the rancid smell." -
Jeff Lantos

This web site is not a commercial web site and
is presented for educational purposes only.
This website defines a new religious
ideology to which its author adheres. The author feels that the falsification
of reality outside personal experience has created a populace unable to discern
propaganda from reality and that this has been done purposefully by an
international corporate cartel through their agents who wish to foist a corrupt
version of reality on the human race. Religious intolerance occurs when any
group refuses to tolerate religious practices, religious beliefs or persons due
to their religious ideology. This web site marks the founding of the religion
aptly named The Truth of the Way of Life - a rational religion based on reason
which requires no leap of faith, accepts no tithes, has no supreme leader, no
church buildings and in which each and every individual is encouraged to
develop a personal relation with God through the pursuit of the knowledge of
reality in the hope of curing the spiritual corruption that has enveloped the
human spirit. The tenets of The Truth of the Way of Life are spelled out in
detail on this web site by the author. Violent acts against individuals due to
their religious beliefs in America is considered a hate
crime.
This web site in no way condones violence. To the contrary
the intent here is to reduce the violence that is already occurring due to the
international corporate cartels desire to control the human race. The
international corporate cartel already controls the world central banking
system, mass media worldwide, the industrial military entertainment complex of
America and is responsible for the collapse of morals, the elevation of
self-centered behavior and the destruction of global ecosystems. Civilization
is based on cooperation. Cooperation does not occur at the point of a
gun.
American social mores and values have declined precipitously over
the last century as the corrupt international cartel has garnered more and more
power. This power rests in the ability to deceive the populace in general
through mass media by pressing emotional buttons which have been preprogrammed
into the population through prior mass media psychological operations. The
results have been the destruction of the family and the destruction of social
structures that do not adhere to the corrupt international elites vision of a
perfect world. Through distraction and coercion the direction of thought of the
bulk of the population has been directed toward solutions proposed by the
corrupt international elite that further consolidates their power and which
further their purposes.
