"Those who
dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those
who dream only by
night." - Edgar Allan Poe
"When a man's sleep is better than his waking he
is better off dead." - Saadi of Shiraz
Dream is defined
as:
a wild fancy or
hope
a daydream; a reverie
to
conceive of; to imagine
to pass time idly
or in reverie
to regard some thing as feasible or
practical
a condition or achievement that is longed for; an
aspiration
a series of images,
ideas, emotions, and
sensations occurring involuntarily in the
mind during certain stages of
sleep
Creative problem-solving that entails dreams typically begins with a
period of unsuccessful effort. That's followed by a decision to set the problem
aside, then a lull in which the thinker does no conscious work to find a
solution. Finally, the fresh solution enters consciousness in a dream and is
recognized upon awakening.
The process works especially well for
musicians, scientists and artists whose challenges are analogous to the
neocortex's. That is, to make new connections among bits and pieces of familiar
elements.
There is no universally agreed biological definition of
dreaming.
General observation shows that dreams are strongly associated
with rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, during which an electroencephalogram shows
brain activity to be most like wakefulness.
Lucid dreaming is being in
a dream state of consciousness, rapid eye
movement sleep, and knowing that you are indeed in a dream state of
consciousness. The dreamer awakens within his
dream to the reality that what he is experiencing is
occurring not in physical reality, but in a dream.
This is conscious awareness of the
subconscious cataloging process that occurs
during sleep.
Lucidity is often triggered by an occurrence in a dream
that subconscious rejects as not belonging
within the subconscious'
conceptual schemata of reality. Two common
occurrences in a dream that the subconscious
seems to reject are flying and
meeting the deceased. Both seem to propel the level of
consciousness from rapid eye movement sleep
toward consciousness.
"In our dreams
- I know it! - we do make the
journeys we seem to make: we do see the
things we seem to see; the people, the homes, the cats, the dogs, the
birds, the whales,
are real, not chimeras; they are
living spirits,
not shadows; and they are
immortal and indestructible. They
go whither they will; they visit all resorts, all points of interest, even the
twinkling suns that wander in the void of
space. That is where those strange
mountains are which slide from under our
feet while we walk, and where those vast caverns
are whose bewildering avenues close behind us and in front when we are lost,
and shut us in. We know this because there are no
such things here, and they must be there,
because there is no other place."
- Mark Twain
"In the past our politicians offered us dreams of a better
world. Now they promise to protect us from
nightmares." - BBC television special
You are asleep and
dreaming!
Those who claim to
know nothing about ultimate reality are called agnostic (literally, "not
knowing"), the person who does claim to
know such things is called
gnostic ("knowing"). In Gnosticism the broad term 'gnostic' is defined as 'knower' which refers to all
individuals who have
insight into ultimate
reality and although they
express their
insights in the various
metaphors of their diverse
cultures, they all talk about the
experience of
awakening, of
gnosis, of perceiving reality as reality truly
is.
Gnosticism is
sometimes called 'the perennial philosophy'
because it has been found in all cultures and at all
times throughout mankind's history. It is not that
gnostics all say exactly the same
thing. It is rather that their
teachings are like fingers
pointing from different perspectives to the same
experience of
gnosis.
Unfortunately, most people focus on the finger and
entirely miss the point.
This gnostics message has never been more
relevant than it is today in our tumultuous
times.
"This reality is a passing dream which the sleeper is convinced is
real, until unexpectedly the dawn of
death frees him
from this fantasy." - Rumi (Sufi Gnostic)

This web site is not a commercial web site and
is presented for educational purposes only.
This website defines a new religious
ideology to which its author adheres. The author feels that the falsification
of reality outside personal experience has created a populace unable to discern
propaganda from reality and that this has been done purposefully by an
international corporate cartel through their agents who wish to foist a corrupt
version of reality on the human race. Religious intolerance occurs when any
group refuses to tolerate religious practices, religious beliefs or persons due
to their religious ideology. This web site marks the founding of the religion
aptly named The Truth of the Way of Life - a rational religion based on reason
which requires no leap of faith, accepts no tithes, has no supreme leader, no
church buildings and in which each and every individual is encouraged to
develop a personal relation with God through the pursuit of the knowledge of
reality in the hope of curing the spiritual corruption that has enveloped the
human spirit. The tenets of The Truth of the Way of Life are spelled out in
detail on this web site by the author. Violent acts against individuals due to
their religious beliefs in America is considered a hate
crime.
This web site in no way condones violence. To the contrary
the intent here is to reduce the violence that is already occurring due to the
international corporate cartels desire to control the human race. The
international corporate cartel already controls the world central banking
system, mass media worldwide, the industrial military entertainment complex of
America and is responsible for the collapse of morals, the elevation of
self-centered behavior and the destruction of global ecosystems. Civilization
is based on cooperation. Cooperation does not occur at the point of a
gun.
American social mores and values have declined precipitously over
the last century as the corrupt international cartel has garnered more and more
power. This power rests in the ability to deceive the populace in general
through mass media by pressing emotional buttons which have been preprogrammed
into the population through prior mass media psychological operations. The
results have been the destruction of the family and the destruction of social
structures that do not adhere to the corrupt international elites vision of a
perfect world. Through distraction and coercion the direction of thought of the
bulk of the population has been directed toward solutions proposed by the
corrupt international elite that further consolidates their power and which
further their purposes.
