Everything we do to the
Earth, we do to
ourselves.
Earth teach me quiet ~ as the grasses are
still with new light. Earth teach me suffering ~ as old stones suffer with
memory. Earth teach me humility ~ as blossoms are humble with beginning.
Earth teach me caring ~ as mothers nurture their young. Earth teach me
courage ~ as the tree that stands alone. Earth teach me limitation ~ as the
ant that crawls on the ground. Earth teach me freedom ~ as the eagle that
soars in the sky. Earth teach me acceptance ~ as the leaves that die each
fall. Earth teach me renewal ~ as the seed that rises in the spring.
Earth teach me to forget myself ~ as melted snow forgets its life.
Earth teach me to remember kindness ~ as dry fields weep with rain. Ute

"To protect the Earth is to protect ourselves.
Everything is linked to everything else. To
save the our planet is to save ourselves, our children and grandchildren."
- Thich Nhat Hanh
"What we now need is real leadership so that
future generations will enjoy the benefits
of our wisdom, empathy and
foresight, instead of having to
manage the consequences of our
selfish ravaging of the
Earth." - Daniel
Brezenoff
"May the inhabitants of earth become one in their
hearts Unite their plans and designs with the dwellers in heaven! All
separation and polytheism and dualism will vanish For there is only unity
in real existence!" - Rumi
"Evil does not spring
from the soil, and trouble does not
sprout from the Earth." - Job
5:6
"Upon what does the
Earth stand? Upon the
pillars. (The sages say it stands upon twelve pillars.) The pillars
stand upon the waters; the waters upon the mountains; the mountains
upon the wind; the wind upon the storm; the storm is suspended upon the
strength of the Holy One, blessed be He, as it is written." -
Babylonian Talmud, Tract Hagiga, Chapter II translated by Michael Levi
Rodkinson
"We live in a cooperative biological world which
possess many features of life, most notably
homeostatic regulation of temperature, gases, salinity, and other variables.
Each species contributes some way to the metabolism
and homeostasis of the planet. Coral
creates lagoons that help remove salt from the
ocean, which would otherwise double in salinity in just 60 million years.
Photosynthesizing algae and rainforests produce the oxygen that sustains
animal life, while other mechanisms prevent oxygen
levels from going too high and sparking devastating planet-wide forest fires.
Bacteria accelerate rock weathering to bring carbon out of the atmosphere,
while marine animals eventually turn that carbon into shells ultimately
sequestered on the ocean floor. And something, some combination of organic and
inorganic processes, has kept earth's surface temperature stable as
the sun's apparent brightness has increased
by 30 or 40 percent over three billion years." -
Charles
Eisenstein
"Children who never spend significant,
unstructured time outdoors in
natural settings can hardly be
expected to grow into adults who will care enough to
fight to protect the
Earth." - Crista Worthy
"From the moon, the
Earth is so small and so
fragile, and such a precious little spot in that beautiful, that you can block it out with your thumb.
Then you realize that on that spot, that little blue and white thing, is
everything that means anything to you - all of history and music and poetry and
art and death and birth and love, tears, joy, games, all of it right there on
that little spot that you can cover with your thumb. And you realize from that
perspective that you've changed forever, that there is something new there,
that the relationship is no longer what it was." -
Rusty Schweickart
"When I was the last man to walk on the moon in
December 1972, I stood in the blue darkness and looked in awe at the
Earth from the lunar surface.
What I saw was almost too beautiful to grasp. There
was too much logic, too much purpose - it was just too beautiful to have happened by accident. It doesn't
matter how you choose to worship God...
God has to exist to have created what I
was privileged to see." - Gene Cernan
"On the return trip home, gazing
through 240,000 miles of space toward the stars and the planet from which I had
come, I suddenly experienced the beautiful as
intelligent, loving, harmonious." -
Edgar Mitchell
Earth is
defined as:
The substance of the
human body; clay.
The
mothership of the species
homo sapiens.
The realm or abode of
mortal existence; the temporal world;
reality.
The globe or planet which
we inhabit; the world,
in distinction from the sun,
moon, or stars.
The solid materials which make up the
globe, in distinction from the
air or water; the
dry land.
Worldly things, as
opposed to spiritual things; the pursuits, interests, and allurements of
this life..
The softer inorganic
matter composing part of the surface of the
planet, in distinction from the firm
rock; soil of all kinds, including
gravel, clay, loam, and the like; sometimes,
soil favorable to the growth of
plants; the visible surface of the
globe; the ground; as, loose
earth; rich earth.
The third
planet from the sun,
having a sidereal period of revolution about the sun of 365.26 days at a mean distance of
approximately 149 million kilometers (92.96 million miles), an axial rotation
period of 23 hours 56.07 minutes, an diameter of 12,756 kilometers (7,923
miles) at the equator.
"The latest reports clearly place a moral choice
before humanity: What do we value most, the
Earth we
live on or "prosperity"? What
good is prosperity in the face of
environmental degradation?" - Mary
Clumeck
Once upon a time there was a
small planet. On this small planet arose a species that had the ability to
conquer nature, or so they thought.
As this particular animal
obliterated the ecosystems that had
evolved over the millennium it became harder and harder to enjoy
life.
So most of the animals chose to escape the
reality that they had manufactured.
Some fantasized a reality in
which the forces of good fought the forces of
evil.
Some fantasized a reality in
which only they themselves mattered.
A very small number - Siddhartha
Gautama, Jesus,
Muhammad ibn Abdulla-h and
Bahá'u'lláh included,
fantasized a reality in
which the animals learned to live in
peace with nature.
The end of the story has not yet been
written.
Will the animals learn to live in
peace or will they follow their uncivilized
animal instincts and return the small planet to a
pre-civilization state?
Stay tuned to reality
to find out.
"There is a deep affinity between the
Earth and the
selfless human being." -
Karen Armstrong
Smile O voluptuous cool-breath'd
Earth!
Earth of the slumbering and liquid
trees!
Earth of departed sunset -
Earth of the
mountains misty-topt!
Earth of the vitreous pour of the
full moon just tinged with blue!
Earth of shine and
dark mottling the tide of the
river!
Earth of the limpid gray of
clouds brighter and clearer for my sake!
Walt
Whitman
"Imagine that you
are sitting on the ground, with your bare
bottom touching the earth. Since you are
not wearing a scarf or hat, you are also exposed to heaven above. You are sandwiched between
heaven and earth:
a naked man or woman. Sitting between heaven and earth.
Earth is always
earth. The earth will let anyone sit on it, and
earth never gives way. It never lets you go
- you don't drop off this earth and go
flying through outer space.
Likewise,
sky is always sky; heaven is always
above you. Whether it is snowing or
raining or the
sun is shining, whether it is daytime or
nighttime, the sky is always there. In that sense, we
know that heaven and
earth are
trustworthy." - Chogyam
Trungpa
I
close my eyes, only for a moment, and
the moment's gone
All my
dreams, pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind, all they are is
dust in the wind.
Same old song, just a drop of
water in an endless
sea
All we do, crumbles to the
ground, though we refuse to see
Dust
in the wind, all we are is
dust in the wind
Don't hang on, nothing lasts
forever but the earth and
sky
It slips away, and all your
money won't another minute buy.
Dust in the wind, all we are is
dust in the wind
Dust
in the wind, everything is
dust in the wind.

This web site is not a commercial web site and
is presented for educational purposes only.
This website defines a new religious
ideology to which its author adheres. The author feels that the falsification
of reality outside personal experience has created a populace unable to discern
propaganda from reality and that this has been done purposefully by an
international corporate cartel through their agents who wish to foist a corrupt
version of reality on the human race. Religious intolerance occurs when any
group refuses to tolerate religious practices, religious beliefs or persons due
to their religious ideology. This web site marks the founding of the religion
aptly named The Truth of the Way of Life - a rational religion based on reason
which requires no leap of faith, accepts no tithes, has no supreme leader, no
church buildings and in which each and every individual is encouraged to
develop a personal relation with God through the pursuit of the knowledge of
reality in the hope of curing the spiritual corruption that has enveloped the
human spirit. The tenets of The Truth of the Way of Life are spelled out in
detail on this web site by the author. Violent acts against individuals due to
their religious beliefs in America is considered a hate
crime.
This web site in no way condones violence. To the contrary
the intent here is to reduce the violence that is already occurring due to the
international corporate cartels desire to control the human race. The
international corporate cartel already controls the world central banking
system, mass media worldwide, the industrial military entertainment complex of
America and is responsible for the collapse of morals, the elevation of
self-centered behavior and the destruction of global ecosystems. Civilization
is based on cooperation. Cooperation does not occur at the point of a
gun.
American social mores and values have declined precipitously over
the last century as the corrupt international cartel has garnered more and more
power. This power rests in the ability to deceive the populace in general
through mass media by pressing emotional buttons which have been preprogrammed
into the population through prior mass media psychological operations. The
results have been the destruction of the family and the destruction of social
structures that do not adhere to the corrupt international elites vision of a
perfect world. Through distraction and coercion the direction of thought of the
bulk of the population has been directed toward solutions proposed by the
corrupt international elite that further consolidates their power and which
further their purposes.
