Valentinian Gnosticism

People manifest their true nature by their response to the message of Jesus.

Using the parable of the sower (Matthew 13:1-8), they explain that through Jesus, Sophia sows the spiritual seed in all who hear the message.

People bear spiritual fruit after attaining a state of mystical knowledge in which they recognize their Eternal Soul is always accompanied by the Savior.

Sin, an expression of debt due to ignorance, could be overcome through perfect knowledge of the Will of Æon.

Irenaeus identified Valentinus as the author of the Gospel of Truth.

Clement of Alexandria records Valentinus was a follower of Theudas, a disciple of Saul of Tarsus.

Valentinus claimed Theudas imparted to him secret wisdom that Saul of Tarsus privately taught his inner circle publicly referred to in connection with his visionary encounter with the risen Christ (Romans 16:25; 1 Corinthians 2:7; 2 Corinthians 12:2-4; Acts 9:9-10).

Valentinian literature described the primal being, called Bythos, as the beginning of all things.

Valentinius, along with Clement, was among the early Christians who attempted to align Christianity with Platonism.

Trinitarianism states that the three distinct aspects are One Æon.

Tritheism states the three distinct aspects are Three Gods.

Valentinian Gnosticism professed Æon - the Father, Sophia - the Mother, and Logos - the Son.

Teaching professed by Hellenized Hebrews at the time of Saul of Tarsus proclaims Æon the Father, Shekhinah female aspect of Æon and the Law.

At the time of Jesus the Tannaim the Hellenized Hebrews saw the Greeks were superior in philosophy and knowledge and chose to emulate them.

Naturally as, after all, the Greeks had conquered the known world.

They had become apostate to the Yahweh mythology of Moses and had begun adding elements of Greek polytheism, numerology and astrology to the original patriarchal monotheistic religion through the use of exegesis.
