desire to seek an
explanation for the existence of what appears to be capricious
evil.
The Zoroastrians were the
first to personify evil in a being - Angra Mainyu.
Original
thought constructs of the
Persian empire
identified evil as
incarnate and personified in a being - Satan, Lucifer, Iblis,
Demiurge, etcetera.

personification of evil is not found in the
Torah, the
Septuagint or the writings
